Description
Stourhead garden changes with the light levels and position of the sun. The Pantheon may catch your eye one minute as many of you commented on yesterdays image; then as the sun emerges from behind a cloud, the tulip tree on the island is bathed in light, which I started the whole series on..

wow! how beautiful
the colors alone are beautiful, and the patina is one of an October of the soul; and lord, the hues of the reflections---bathed in a kind of autumnal underglow---are gentle & caressing. It's amazing how the gold of the land spills into the water as if it were liquid, and how the shadow line on the left harmonizes the deep shadowed tree on the left. Another piece that opens to light in the back, but whose colors and softness draw us repeatedly back to the trees & land; and the whole has a fragrance of a deep sweet autumnal day. Gentle & beautiful, and unified in feel & hue. A wonderful tribute to beautiful October. Always a privilege to come here, Danny.

Spectacular shot! The landscape is so beautiful and the colors was just wonderful. Love how the image is captured again in the still water. England is just so very beautiful. I hope to visit someday. My heritage is Welch and would love to tour England and Wales. Such beauty and history!
