(Bug Comic) I have to apologize for posting this one out of chronological order. It takes place at Halloween 2402, which is why I wanted to pose it now.0_o Lots has happened over the summer for Rain,(which I will post later) but mostly Bryan just moved stuff into his new apartment, worked on lesson plans for the fall, and did research on bug populations that were in the tiny town of Newton in 2100, in preparation for visiting Newton in person the following summer (the gallery post where he got this grant is here "Drive Thru Pudding" . He also went to the zoo with Staci, the beach with his family, and the opera, tried without success to figure out who rescued him on Pearl Street, got lectured by Staci about trying to pick up people in bars, and moped about his love life, or lack of same. His mood was not helped by the fact that Leo, Date Number One of the "Year of Dating Stupidly" has matched up with Reeds the Goth poet,(also on that image) and seems incredibly happy. They are also here: "What Superhero Are You" Leo's hair is no longer green, his grades are now excellent, and he seems to have tossed out a lot of the "toys" that were such an annoyance to Bryan before. He and Reeds were supposed to have matching Halloween outfits, but Reeds had to go on a business trip ("I have to dress up as an adult for Halloween") because the Goth Poet has a dark secret--he's one of the main writers for the hit comedy Hollywood Chihuahua, which is how he can afford a Victorian mansion in the fancy part of Ellesburg and his princely faux-vampire wardrobe. So he went off to San Jose in the Republic of California; and rather than waste the costume, Leo had Bryan come over and wear it, and co-host Leo's Halloween party. Reeds called from California to see how it was going( and who was there), and Leo said "Nobody special..just Bryan so far." Nobody special..it occurred to Bryan he'd never treated Leo as anything more than a convenient friend, so why should Leo think he was special? Bryan thought he'd been a better friend to Nate and Staci than to anyone he'd ever slept with. Maybe it would be nice to be special to someone.
