Separation and Accent. Climbing to the very edge of Earths atmosphere the huge multi-engine turbo-jet transport plane, NASA 587, releases the AS America and banks away as the shuttle goes into a free guide flight pattern. Seconds later the Commander of the shuttle brings the nose up and ignites the three main engines sending the shuttle rocketing forward, onward, upward and into low Earth orbit. With its precious cargo now released the NASA transport plane will return to Kennedy Space Centre for a landing and to have a full systems check-out before refurbishment for its next transport mission. The project calls for each of the five new Advanced Space-Shuttles NASA plans to have in near continuous operation, America and its sister ships Democracy, Republic, Union and Pilgrim to each have its own dedicated turbo-jet transport aircraft so that weekly or even twice weekly flights into space will be possible.
