Description
The Darkest Night
*Hiccup* "Shhh - quiet, don't make a sound." The tipsy Knight warned the gypsy girl he'd propositioned to give him a go. Deep in his cups, he followed her through the graveyard, warning her to keep quiet, not to make a sound.
"Why?" She whispered.
"Ach, stupid girl! In this cemetary, long ago, hundreds were buired, al-i-i-ive - the undertaker put them in their graves, as they brought them in - thinking them dead. Ah, but no - they were not - it is said, if you pass a graveyard with too much noise, they can hear you up here, and start banging on their coffins to be let out, 'Let me oooooout - pleeease, let me ooooout." *Hiccup* The knight snickered, trying to sound spooky.
"Oh," The gypsy girl softly, quietly exclaimed, "Why not, let them out, I don't understand?"
*Sigh* - "Oh stupid girl! Only the undertaker wears the special amulet to let them out, anyone else, they grab you - and eat you alive as you scream!"
"Oh my... I - didn't know." Her golden eyes sparkled then and began to glow. Suddenly a cold chilling wind blew and her lantern went black.
"What was that?! What happened? Girl? GIRL?! Where are you? I can't see? I can't -..." Suddenly a terrorfied scream lit the air....
"AI-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-IH!!!"

Sooo you must be careful - you must not fall
the person that travels with you...
their name you must not call.
Do not trust he that leads -
nor she who will quietly follow
no, for there is no night, darker than
on wicked all Saints Hallow.
Go through in pairs - some would say
if you dare pass through on this wicked wicked day
it is sad, how many do not know
as they creep through scared and slow
you see, one must be fed to the hungry dead
so the other one is free to go.
So remember when you are passing those who rest down below
be quiet, be respectful, for it is not the dead who will harm you
but all those living so and sos...

The black side of the darkness ecombe and shadows graze our thoughts make us a certain fear. But good, but good. Sounds like he was trying to scare the PANTS OFF HER = LOL.. but at the end, it sounds like she's the one sticking live people in the graves - I should of read this at night instead of before noon - lol artwork is really sweet, love them eyes and both characters look great - enjoyed the story, vincent krept into my head when I read his part - ah hah hah hah hah

Okay Mercy, this is about the coolest pic leading up to Halloween ever! You are so gifted at creating just the right mood in your art and this one is no exception. Great interaction between them, and their exchange was filled with suspense. Having Vincent Price narrating was the perfect final touch. Oh I'd never forgive myself if I failed to mention what a fabulous job you did on that mood lighting. Hugs
