Description
It is real bad weather in the Netherlands now; much rain an pretty cold so I will post one of my memories of last summer.
The subject is called the 'Ammerse Boezem' and it is part of a region called the 'Alblasserwaard'.
Some of you will perhaps think: 'Oh my...' that's the place I visited this year because of the mills of Kinderdijk. And that's correct. Kinderdijk is about 20 kilometers west of this 'Ammerse Boezem'.
By the way : A 'Boezem' is a piece of water meant to temporarily store water from the lowlands before it is pumped into a river. In this case the river 'Lek' is only a few kilometers in the background.
