Well it has been quite some time since I last posted an image. The main reason has been the prolonged extreme heat we have had this year. There were way too many days that reached 100 F with 90% humidity and I could not deal with it. I did not even attempt much bug hunting and spent most of the last 3 months inside with the AC on high. Fortunately that has changed. We have had beautiful weather for over a week now, but alas, I have not had time to play with bugs. Too much outside work had been postponed because of the heat and it has to be done instead. I did manage a few brief outside bug hunts but had little success. I guess the bugs had found cooler locations as well because I found very few. As time permits, I will try to post some more of the ones I did manage to capture. This is a new species for me to find. It is a White-dotted Prominent Moth caterpillar. Thanks to those who take the time to comment. Lee
