Description

Cavalry mounts, sans riders. And, because of the cavalry playing such a prominent role at the event, I might be accused of horsing around with my camera. Babuci, morningglory, and possibly Andrea should really like this. Captured 7/31/10, at the American Civil War Reenactment, held at the vast and beautiful El Dorado Park in beautiful Long Beach, California. Better viewed full size. Other than picture #3, all are Union equines. And the young lady in #4 was asking the trooper if she could keep his magnificent steed after the event was over. I believe she finally ended up tearfully pleading for ownership. TTFN, thankx for the peek, and for any and all complimentary comments and favs.

I knew you would show more of the horses....they are beautiful. Wonderful shots, love the first shot best, but I'll take the last horse as my fave.

Yes I do Harry. Wonderful collection of the fine animal. I happy to see another color of the coat, a lovely off white with dark legs. Gotta love the heart there...lol.

Beautiful portraits of these noble steeds; they're much prettier than the soldiers themselves!

Very classy, well kept steads. Looks like all except one are "wearing" the correct saddle, namely the McClellan saddle. Here's a link.
