Description
ASTRA AND +
Meet ASTRA and ASTRA + ! No, they’re not astronauts prepping for adventures on Aquarius nor android visitors to Earth from Aries Prime. They’re manikins in doarte’s MADHOUSE MIDWAY Historical Society’s Department of Human Flight … a saga that started way back in Greek mythology when that geek Icarus decided to test his wax-wing invention in a leap off Mount Olympus. A flight, as you all know, that ended abruptly when sunshine melted his crazy creation,
ASTRA and + also represent something else … a contemporary art style popular with digital creators that combines past symbols with present forms better known as “STEAM PUNK “ ; ergo the old zeppelin revealed in the opened drapes … a replica of the Hindenburg dirigible that ended like Icarus when its hydrogen-filled tanks blew up when it attempted to land in New Jersey back in 1937.
So where are we? Well, just as we promised to include you in upcoming water-world explorations, we’ll use the doarte imagination to take you on our human quests to navigate the stars.
A SPECIAL NOTE FOR SYFY BUFFS… the nasal cone on +’s nose is another doarte technical triumph. It combines a special dust filter, radiation detector and radarscope to discover alien life forms on interplanetary expedition.

Great image
What a wild imagination we all know you possess and what a story. Yes it does tell their story most fittingly. Their outfits are groovy, especially that wild head gear. You are truly a Master!. 'Tis a very cool Zeppelin as only you could envision. Needless to say, I love it. Applause again.
Does the nose-cone also function as a lie detector, growing as it's wearer is less than honest? A very curious duo. Hope we will witness more of their antics. Excellent characters and scene.
Outstanding work of art
