Description
I was facinated by this bird obviously by its stunning colour. I found its ancient looking beak and eye surrounded by wrinkled skin and sparse feathers interesting too! I am disappointed the beak isn't in full focus. They say focus on the eye at all times in portraits and I suppose that is anyway.

What a great close up! It is a stunning colour, I suppose it makes it easier to find your friends in the forest!
Image is so large it's loaded with MACROS!!!! A+ Full sized viewing is a fantastic experience! A+ Wonderful work!!! A+.
I can see every little part of each feather, even the specks of dander. Yes, his eye struck me too of being world weary, all knowing. Wonderful photograph Kevin. You certainly know how to please us. Thanks for sharing.
A splendid and friendly look from your camera ! Great head !
Fabulous portrait my friend!!Bravissimo!:DDD.Hugsxx Whylma
Gorgeous close-up, love his color!
Very cool image. I never realized there were tiny feathers so close to the eye. Weird how nature "knows" not to cover up the sense organs (except for the sheepdog -- I guess that one fell through the cracks). The rich red color of the feathers on the head and the perfect detail in them is really striking.
Superb portrait!!!
Beautiful portrait...
Beautiful shot!! Parrots are SO incredibly intelligent and you can see that in the eyes of this one.
Absolutely beautiful shot of an amazing bird. ^=^
What a beautiful bird and an excellent portrait! That eye just draws me right in!
As they say my friend focus on the eyes. Outstanding capture my friend.
A wonderful capture of this very beautiful bird. I love the detail around his eye and beak too.
Well done!
