Goodness more memories...only mine came with a Red Back Spider and a carpet snake...ha! ha! not kidding...great photo...
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from your title. Whatever vague idea had formed in my head, this wasn't it! lol. Wonderful capture of this necessity of life! I prefer the flush variety.
What a shot. What an elegant little piece of necessary house-ware! I like this quite a lot and I wonder where it originally came from! This is a gorgeous photo. I like it a lot. I actually love that seat, the shape of it, the elegance. It makes me think that someone put a lot of effort in making an important part of the day as comfortable (and pretty) as possible.
Surrealist but the toilets are also in the things of the life! Bravo Helle ,very eccentric!
Ah The Throne!!! Is this in your house? LOL Don't want to empty it... Great piece of history!! Better than the out house...
AHA! A Thunderbox! Rather elegant!
Wow, where ever did you find that ?? now we need a history lesson lol Sure is an exellent photo ;o)))))))))))
Tempted to say a crap shot but can't cos this is great and when needs must!!!!!
Awesome. I cant say I have seen one of these beauties! So it all comes out the door down the bottom yeah?
What a catch!!!! Where did you find such thing, This is really amazing and I feel that it is more comfortable than the normal ones. But I have one question: Who does the cleaning????? Great shot indeed!!!! Good luck with your house.
Splendid capture !
Have to say I've never seen one like this before Helle. It's fascinating the amount of care they put into creating this way back then.
What an elegant design! Thanks for this photo ... I'm getting to see something I never would have seen otherwise!
nice dunny
I'm sure a luxery in its day!
A great looking old toilet but I think I like the modern kind more. An unusual capture of this very necessary item.
More modern then what my Aunt and Uncle had when I was a kid. The old out house! :D Excellent capture! :)
and that was one for the high society, my grandparents had not so elegant ones:) very funny old toilette!
In the middle of the living room, cozy. After dinner all in the queue for this luxury shit box. Is this something to place in the challenge: still life, Helle? :D
This is a Victorian Commode. Nice photo of a slice of History. dph
