Description
Here it is 17.30 o'clock, so I say :
"good afternoon", art-friends!
No, no, this is definitely not a Sunflower, maybe one of you had that idea?
This is, on Latin: "Pulicaria dysenterica"
On Dutch: "Vlooienkruid"
They stand in our garden, where I also have made this picture, about a week ago.
The diameter of the flower is about two and a half centimeter. That's little, huh?
Fleabane is a rare plant in the Netherlands.
It was used as a medicinal herb in the past, to heal wounds and to stop diarrhoea (hence dysenterica).
The English name tells about another quality: the plant would also be a means to keep fleas at a distance.
I don't know if anybody here does need this plant ? :D
Thanks for your comments and your interest.
I wish you all a very nice weekend.
Hoping you can relax!
Bye, Bye,
Mies.
B.T.W. ON FULL SIZE YOU ALWAYS SEE MORE, AND BETTER. ;D
