Description
This is a typical cloud build-up with rain shafts during our monsoon. Rain may come down at the rate of 2 to 3 inches/hour, but since it doesn't last long actual precipitation rarely exceeds 1 inch.
Showers and thunderstorms are usually isolated and directly related to the moisture in the air. This pictiure was taken in Oracle, Pinal County, on Sunday 29 August 2010.

Great shot. The sky is fantastic! :)
Wow! It's nice to see what you've described to me in the past. Somehow your rain is SO much more interesting than ours! LOL! It's incredible to hear it coming down so hard I can hear it through the phone line. Excellent image!
Wonderful capture. You caught these angry clouds very well. Dana
