Description
This was my first (and only) attempt of ever taking a macro of an insect. I had gotten my camera (a Nikon) about six months earlier at the Navy BX in Bangkok, Thailand, and I bought as many attachments as I could get.
In this attempt I picked up a dead dragonfly out of the air condition duct, put it on a table and put two lights to it. I used close-up rings and I was about one inch away.
This picture was taken in June 1967 and later scanned.

OUTSTANDING, MARVELOUS IMAGE!!!!!
did a good job too
Yeah, they pretty much have to be dead for me to get a shot of an insect, too! Nicely done!
This close-up came out finely, when I consider the time it was shot and then scanned. You did a super job on this, Sig!
A wonderful closeup and how marvellous to be so clear when so close. I wish my camera was as good.
Great shot!
MUY BUENA IMAGEN.
WOW!! Forty Three years ago and I can tell you right now, my Kodak 404 would not have done anything like this. Great detail. In the mid 60s, I was picking up astronauts in the Caribbean. Tough duty and a different island every weekend. Dana
