Description
Rapunzel, having Waited Long Enough for a prince to wander by, has gone off to seek her fortune elsewhere. Her best-selling novel has provided her with a tidy income, and I hear she's working on her memoirs.
She goes around incognito these days. Comfy jeans and cotton shirts, hair punked up in a flat-black spike, she's joined the over-50 club and isn't afraid to speak her mind.
I hear she made the largest-ever donation to Locks of Love in the history of the organization, but that might just be an urban tale.
Every once in a while you will find a young, handsome man at the foot of the tower, pining in the moonlight for what he thinks he's lost. If you're looking for one of those, help yourself. Rapunzel has left the building.

Great shot and wonderful tale! Thank you very much for the chuckle tonight, Tara! I just wish I could rate this higher than a 5!
She got an email , all the hot princes were at the ball. So she quickly got her best and hottest dress on, did her hair, makeup, and made sure she looked really fly, jumped in her Jag and headed over to the ball. Ok ok I'll stop. Cool shot!
It's all true; I saw her last night at a blues bar; she was surrounded by young men who were vying for her attention. We struck up a conversation, had a few drinks and danced our @@@@@ off with these guys. She ROCKS!!!
Dam late again always miss the good ones.. guess you will find me pining outside at the bottom of the tower lol... Good one Tara well done!!
Sweet little tale and a towering shot.
Wonderful capture and POV Tara but I have to tell you that your narrative is outstanding. Dana
Actually, Rapunzel's main problem is that she's old enough now that the 106 steps from the ground to the observation deck above the 104 year old water tank is more trouble than it's worth for her. So, she huffed and she puffed and blew down the houses belonging to two of the three little pigs (remember made of straw and twigs), got stalled out trying to blow down the brick house of the third little pig and decided to leave the Fairy Tale business for an easier job with better benefits. Love your picture!!!
very nice tale auntie and nice shot.
I hope she had time to fix her hair!
OH MY What fantasy Tara... Not to mention Bill HAHAHA ! Awesome shot of this beautiful tower.
Thanks for a super giggle, Tara, and also Bill! What about the hag?
Very nice shot!!
excellent title and image
LOL! Great little tale, and the shot is wonderful!
Actually, I think I saw her hanging out with Lady Godiva the other day. They were riding a horse, and stirring up a bit of mayhem, the rascals! Great shot of the tower, though!
Fantastic POV! :)
I am reading Grimm's tales at a moment and I was wondering how can I capture a certain theme. Excelent pov on yours what give me a great guide line.
Super POV! Love your story too :)
bonne photo!!
off to find her somewheres. cool story and shot
I saw this last night, but couldn't comment as I wanted to and so I'm commenting now and I'm glad to announce that I'm having the same reaction. When I first saw this, I had a Laurie Anderson moment and immediately heard her voice in my head, declaring: Hansel and Grettel are alive and well...and they're living in Berlin. She is a cocktail waitress. He had a part in a Fausbinder film. And they sit around at night, now, drinking schnapps and gin..." So it's no wonder that Rapunzel has left the building and pursued a writer's life. As for this shot: WOW! Stunning POV and a wonderful sense of scale, and I love the stonework. I have a thing for stonework anyway, and there's also a part of me that's wondering how Agaran this structure might be. Now I'm rambling, so I'm gonna shut up, but I simply had to comment on this shot. It's marvelous and I love the story.
I think she's actually doing Miss Clairol commercials on one of those obscure cable channels in the 500 range. Evidently the pay is suprisingly good but she'd like to kill her agent. That's the story I heard on Entertainment Tonight, and we all know that they're never wrong... Very funny by the way and love the shot and POV.
Excellent POV. It fits the narrative perfectly. I'd always wondered what happened to her. Last I heard she was selling a line of hair care products. Thanks for the update.
Love it! VERY Fairy Tale!..lol Beautiful view and great colours.. Well done.. Rob
OMG - I cracked up with your tale and the creative comments! I'm afraid I am so far from creating writing at the moment as can be! Great one my friend!
Great shot and story...I loved reading the comments you got, got me laughing
Smiles! Very well told, Clive
