Description
I could not resist sticking my lens out of my open car window as I sat in traffic on the way into town this morning. The mist and smog seemed to make a fitting farewell to the power station towers in Pinelands which will be imploded on Sunday. We will be saying goodbye to a landmark - then again, with a mountain like ours, who needs cooling towers!
Not a perfect shot I know - have not rigged a tripod on the roof with a remote release - yet!

Heard about these Cooling towers being imploded. They implode one of our cooling towers as well a few years ago.I agree who would want to see cooling towers if one could enjoy Table Mountain.

Who says industrial architecture is alway functional and dirty? Never seen an industrial building in such a mood! Great work!
