Description
The ruins of the castle Rodenstein.
The castle Rodenstein was built in the middle of the 13th Century. There is an old legend that in nights with thunder and lightning a wild horde of ghost knights comes from the castle and rides through the valley. I can only say that until now I have not seen them yet. :)
Thanks for looking.
I wish you all a great week.

Great green place and castle Rodenstein.
Very fine photo shot of Schloss Rodenstein. The sky fits very well to the name Ghost Ruins. A beautiful image!
What a magical image! Super work!
I almost expect a leprechaun or group of fairies to come out of there. It looks like a fantasy setting. Beautiful image, and you did the POV and lighting perfectly. Excellent.

A splendiferous photo of a very spooky scene, Klaus! I can just picture the ghost knights leaping forth at night to terrorize the valley.

It looks like a storm is brewing just now in the sky, so you may get to see the knights yet! We can hope. It is so green it almost looks like a rain forest ruin. It's a beautiful place.
I'd love to see that "wild horde of ghost-knights." That would really be something. Super photo. Thanks for posting this.
