Many thanks to Bill (bmac62) for taking a photo of the tag on this unusual flower! I would never have known the name otherwise.

Interesting flower. never heard of it until now! Great shot!
Not one I've seen before either--love the yellow!!
Did you and beachzz plan on yellow today? Very cool flower. I reminds me of my shrimp plant flowers, it seems to have the same type of bloom.
Nature and its wonders! Well done, Clive
Looks like a blending of two different flowers. Beautiful. Love the light.

very beautiful ! lovely lighting as well
Very beautiful and very nice!
Just to be different, they make me think of orange popsicles:) Let's see..."packy-stackies"...but then I am from New York and we pronounce most things a little funny. LOL. Fine backlit shot of several exotic blooms.
They look to me like stacked up bougainvillea flowers, so there ;p Lollipops for pachyderms? Whatever, great capture of these intriguing beauties!
Cool, Tara! Excellent photo of this bloom! I think I got a shot of one of these a couple weekends ago at the Tampa Aquarium - I was wondering what it was.. :-D
never saw one of theses. wonderful shot of it
Something new to me. Great capture and color. Dana
Beautiful shot!!
This is quite stunning and incredibly unique. I've never seen one of these, let alone heard of them. I love the intense yellow and the arrowhead shape of those petals(?) Great light too! Of course, with my wacky brain and the fact that I seem to be occupied with Agara and Nemaea in equal parts of late, I'm thinking that perhaps these could be recognized (in some future/alternate universe) as Nemaean Butter Stacks? Hmmm...or maybe not. At any rate, I love this shot!
very beautiful
Lovely looking flower...excellent shot
