Description
I was making potato salad today and I find that plinking the hot eggs into ice water makes their shells MUCH easier to remove.
I then tinted the photo a bit with blue and glow via Picasa. The plan is when I post it I would have to look at it repeatedly and and it would have a cooling effect upon my being. Kinda like candles when it's really cold:) Summer bites.. end of story:)

This is a REALLY cool image!
Yes, it has cooling effect.
This is terrific, very colorful, funny, interesting and unique Cynthia. An outstanding capture. This turned out great. The lighting is perfect. I love simple and sweet. Truly cracks me up. Pardon the pun. Putting salt in the boiling water while cooking, also hardens the shells for easy removal. You know that already. Hee Hee. Really farout image. Huggs... Silkylady...
Great capture Hugs Susan~
You can do that with potatoes too. Cut a line around the potato, boil it and when done, place it in ice.... Grab the outer skin of the potato and tear the skin right off... Goes good with eggs... Nice shot. Aloha
seldom eat a boiled egg but good to remember. your post work is very effective
I'll have to remember that! I learned a trick for making potato salad with small baby reds. Just put the whole reds (no poking the skin) and the eggs in the pan together and cook them until the taters are done. There was more, but that one little tip made life a lot easier! The ice makes a lot of sense, and I hope it cooled you off a bit!
Ice-blue hues give this a frozen-in-time look, has a similar effect on me, as looking at Alaskan icebergs... all is quite - no sweat, somebody else must like the 'blues' ? unique composition & stunning result, BB
