Description
The stamens on this bloom made me think of angelhair pasta. Maybe I should go get some dinner! LOL!
This was from the Conservatory at Volunteer Park in Seattle.
I forgot to check to see what it was called. We were in such a rush to get a lot of pictures in a short time, because they were closing for the evening.
These beautiful flowers were in a room with brugmancia and other subtropical plants. If anybody knows what this is, feel free to let us know!
..........
Thanks to Andrea for the ID ... it's an epiphyllum.

WOW....Beautiful photo!....This is just perfect, adorable flower! ******
What a beautiful flower. I love the red bloom tucked in among the beautiful green leaves. This would make a beautiful Christmas card.
It reminds me of a Christmas cactus, but I'm probably wrong. ;c) I grow the fern in my garden, and it's supposed to be hard to grow, but mine are not having a problem. I need to cut them back, in fact. Need a machete... lol
Nice capture - purdy flower!
innocent feeling ,beautiful
Beautiful... Aloha
Delicate petals and so many stamen...wonderful capture...let's go back:)
this is lovely and do make me wish i have some pasta now lol
A little pesto and garlic bread and this would be delicious!!
Wonderful fern garden with a red gem in the middle. Such a nice picture.
Lovely flower whatever it is, great capture well done!
very sweet colors warm hugs, Linda Kaye
I have no idea what it is, but it is just gorgeous! Wonderful capture!
Very pretty
I have no idea what this is called, but I'd vote for the name Angel Hair Pasta Stamen Flower which might sound even more impressive in Latin...who knows? At any rate, what a photo; it's funny but the leaves remind me a wee bit of basil or some nice spice and the photo makes me want to smell them. I see a flower and I want to smell the non-flowery part! How typical! The colors are rich too. I love the red that's not so eye-searing, and the green that's quite intense; it's a nice shake-up of expectations! Yeah, this is a cool photo! I like it a lot.
It's an Epiphyllum, Tara, and as the flower-bearing stems can be very unattractive this is a brilliant way to display them! Super pic. I shall copy this idea for my epis!
Great shot!
A stunningly beautiful flower and capture, Tara. Excellent work. Hugs. Di. xx
The flower is beautiful but that green is simply gorgeous! Excellent capture.

I am suffering stamen overload now! Fantastic capture, Clive
From your photograph it's plain you're enchanted with the loveliness of flowers just as I'm seduced by the endless mysteries of my river. Appreciated your comment.
