Description
...the Father and Son aerobatic team you first saw here.
Son in Yak 55 on left...
Father in Yak 18 on right...
More close up stuff of these two to come in my next two uploads...
Sorry, no prop blur yet for enthusiasts. LOL
All these shots were taken with my now favorite (but very heavy) 50-200mm 1:2.8-3.5 telephoto lens.
Bill:)
Zoom worthy if you have a big screen.

Fantastic capture, Bill! This is great without the blur, besides there is just a little hint of blur on the red plane's prop!
Yikes, they're coming right at you! Great capture!
What a view!!!!
this is wonderful too these two places flighting together
Way too high for me Great capture Hugs Susan~
I think our seats at the end of the runway were the best on the field. Maybe not for some of the stuff, but we got to see the turns nobody else saw. This was a great act!
Nice shot Bill...
Super shot Bill blur or no blur.
wonderful image!
Clever stuff, both them and you!
A great crop and composition - that sounds like quite a lens! Clive
Not and easy capture to get, Bill. You did it so well. Hugs. Diane. xx
Excellent captured. I find it very difficult to capture moving objects in the sky. Well done.
Wonderful capture!! )
You have done well Bill.. Prop blur? I would love to know how the experts get the amount they do.. I was using a massive 300mm tele lens on my camera.. Set on Auto but with ISO fixed at 200.. to lowest I could.. And I could only get what I show so far.. So, unless the professionals set a single picture everytime on manual, for one flypast and hope!!! I have no idea how they do it..... Some of my pics have blur, others have very little... (like yours).. I think it is to do with the aircraft engine speed.. ? Good work mate.. Rob
superbe photo!!
Great to see this pair up close, bit of a Cary Grant North by Northwest thing going on here :-) The 2 individual close ups are stunning.Big thumbs up here mate.
Guess my little point & shoot wouldn't get shots like this :o) Wonderful!!!!
awww you got a new lense. yippeee I've been thinking of doing the same but I haven't been too motivated to take photos lately too hot for me.. Great series Bill.
outstanding!
A wonderful capture of this action.
Very beautifil image !
Splendid capture!!
EXCELLENT
Comin' right at 'cha! Great shot, Bill!
Nice! This is VERY NICE! There's nothing more dramatic than a pair of flying Yaks. It's even more impressive since one of them survived a rather flagrant lomcovak as well! (just pretend I put those hacheks and stuff over the right letters.) I love the drama in this shot and the head-on POV. It's even better since I'm listening to the Battlestar Galactica cover of "All Along the Watchtower" as I look at this: I'm at the snarly guitar bit near the end where the band just blows out all of the stops...it's quite stirring in conjunction with this photograph, which also means that this photo is amazing in that it totally fits with a completely unrelated artform. This rocks! Yeah! Two riders were approaching...the wind began to howl! oh yeah, I like this!
