Description
Lava update. Went to Gary's house 5 am this morning as the lava was less than a 100 yards away from his house. Of course Gary was sound asleep. The lava had split in two directions, one heading towards the sea and the other is heading directly to Gary's house. There is a lot of methane explosion with some occuring behind of us about 50 or more feet away from the lava ooze. Gary already had accepted his fate and moved his belongings to safer grounds. When I left about 6:45 am, Gary was still sound asleep. Will check on him tomorrow again if his house is still there. Aloha and thank you for viewing
ps...There were 3 other friends to alert him if needed to....

We're cheering for Gary! Thanks for the incredible photos and stories!
Wow this is amazing such an excellent shot of this one.
stunning .. the pits of hell ! it looks like you are in a cave ...
This is a truly amazing shot showing the connecting threads of lava. My goodness, how Gary could be so sound asleep with all this turmoil is amazing to me. I think I would be wide eyed with fear. I'm glad he got his belongings out so that they are safe.
Absolutely stunning.
Wow...splendid capture....
Gary...is...NUTS! Awesome image here Sharky -- It is like looking into the gates of Hell. One of your best recent lava captures for sure.
Geez... I couldn't sleep with lava flowing that close! But then, I'd probably be taking photos one after another of it. :-) I'm interested to hear how Gary comes out and if he has 3 others to alert him, does that mean 3 other homes are in danger as well?
Stunning! Like the entrance to hell ( so I've heard ) Wonderful work.
What a special 'look through'. My compliments for this picture, its great!
That is just plain scary, I can't believe someone could sleep knowing this was headed for their home.
He's staying in the house still!?! : Fantastic capture!

impressionnant !
Amazing picture,it's fantastic that you can get so close!!!!!!!!!
Another cool shot. Aloha
Yet another fantastic shot. I cannot imagine the heat coming from that. Hope your friend stays safe.
wow, how scary, but what awesome photos you are getting!
Sorry for Gary's house:( CLAPPING* for the picture :)
I LOVE THIS PICTURE - LOOKS LIKE THE CONTINUATION FROM THE ONE YOU UPLOADED AND SENT ME... BUT... This drama of Gary's house has your viewers on the edge of their seats I'm sure.... My Wife lost everything in an apartment fire in 2002 right before I met her (I lived in the same complex and watched it burn), so I can relate to what Gary may have to go through.... WE NEED PICTURES, MAYBE EVEN A COLLAGE OF PICTURES... I pray Gary's house is spared.
wow this is out of this world. like a cave you walk into wondering what going to happen
incredible.. been away from RR for a short while but I see you've really been rocking it with the lava photos, some great work keep it up! :)
