Description
I took a LOT of pictures of two rusty bicycles in Marysville this weekend. They had apparently been in the water for quite some time, although they were above what looked to be the high tide line.
There's probably a story here, interesting or not depending upon your preferences, but I couldn't resist the photo op!
There will undoubtedly be more ...

this has a kind of steampunk feeling in it.well done.
Oh great you found my missing bike yep that looks like it can tell by that purple brake cable, some swine nicked it from my work... Do you think with a little bit of TLC I can get it on the road again??
OH WOW! Tara, This is interesting and very beautiful. I love rusty items, so just let them come :-)))
Another ancient relic brought up from the depths by Robert Ballard and National Geographic? What an amazing image of decay made poignant by the little purple bits hinting at what it once was.
A little oil, steel wool, and lots of hard work, and off you go!! Great shot!!

I can feel the despair as you squeeze the handle and nothing happens..

Wonderful textures, Tara! It's slowly going back to nature. Lovely capture!
What a marvelously complex fossil! A petrified bike! Who'd have thunk it!? I love the way photography and rust go so well together, and now I get to see something amazing, abstract, vaguely alien and really, really evocative! Great stuff! This is the kind of stuff I could constantly look at and I must say you did a stellar job in capturing and presenting this. Yeah, I like it!
look like they had no more life in them... wonderfulo shot
I don't think this one is going anywhere, lol... Nice shot. Aloha
