Um...a photo of a prisonyard scrap heap? (y'know, license plates...oh forget it) Actually the first thing I thought when I saw the thumbnail was "The 70's!!!" The second and third things were entirely unrelated and had to do with an itch and this odd craving for apricots. I'm wondering if those came from your cars? cause if you stole em, we are gonna have a wee chat! :P
WOW...An outstanding collage fascination creation my dear friend, great colors!
Nice. I like it that it is composed of street signs and car license plates. I hate cars so that suits my tastes perfectly!

It is a cool work of art Mandi, and one that allows so many ways to ponder the meaning behind it.

I love your most recent pieces, but as I can't do all tonight, I wanted to catch at least one older image; and honestly, I loved this image as soon as it went up. Your art can fall in many places in the modern age, and this one is so beautifully 70s & 80s New York: It's such a splendid abstract made of bits & pieces of license plates. You really delved into the visual language of those plates, exploring the raised letters, the squared off letters, the embossed & depressed letters, the sheen around them, the sheen on them, the decay on them as well as on the screw holes, etc. It's a study in the language of license plates; and as a pure design, it's marvelous, giddy, thoughtful & analytic, with a real sense for balance between large & small excerpts, between vivid hues and bleached, and between the wonderful jagged edges you've created for each individual excerpt. Sometimes your works are just pure design; and while this is made of plates, you've made a splendid living design out of it: I'd hang this on a wall happily. And (though I regret to move on now (after just 3 images), it's always a great pleasure to come here after another absence. I hope to be back soon.
