Description
A sight you might see while visiting Sedona, Arizona. A place where the air is fresh and you're away from the big city.
• Fractal terrain by me using the flatten low areas clip file by Hetzen; and, the strata variation file by FrankB - both available at the Planetside forum.
• Pine tree models by Walli, available at the Planetside forum. These were positioned as single objects.
• Two populations of lightnings 3 Bushes are used changing the color on one of them. These were positioned using the Painted shader. These may be available at the Planetside forum.
• Grass model by klas was used and positioned using the Distribution shader. The model is available at the Planetside forum.
In all, this was an enjoyable project. Render time was three hours, thirty-two minutes. The Mitchell-Nettravali filter was used for rendering.

Very cool terrain, vegetation and lighting!!!
Ah, you did it again Bob. The render, when enlarged even looks more inviting.
5+! Looks like good photo...
Hi Bob, I have downloaded your last 3 renders and adjusted them in Photoshop with a curves and shadow/highlight adjustment layer with noticeable results in depth, contrast and color enhancement. You might want to give it a try and see if you like the results.
@ abreojos - thanks Joe; but, I've tried this and find that the results are usually too unreal. There are enough tools in Terragen to create realism.
Great Realism!!!
A very beautiful realistic rendering!Nice Work...looks like an actual photo.
full size viewing is a must fantastic realism you've created with this render

excellent terrain and realism!! 5+
Excellent work.
Yes, reminds me of Sedona. The wife and I spent the night there in an inn not far from Bell Rock. Sure would love to go back...
Excellent!!! The addition of the grass in the foreground gives it that much realism and the populations worked out nicely. Beautiful piece of work all round Bob.
One of my favorite places, Sedona! NIce work on the still and hot air! The vegies work very well in this scene too, Bob!!!
Outstanding realism..and the title is fitting.
beautiful work!
the surface of the mountain riminds me of the steps of a pyramide, maybe there is one hidden under the rocks ;o)
