Have you ever had those days where nothing you look at to upload is good enough! I sit here with a gezillion images but I did not like one of them! Eventually I decided on something light!
I captured this madame at a garden center more than a year ago... She was definitely fleeing... maybe from the mean man dressed in a white coat holding an axe!! Just joking!!! It was actually Kayla chasing her!!! LOL.... She wanted to cuddle!
Thank you for visiting my gallery and for your very valued comments and favs on my upload of the salt water marsh close-up yesterday!
Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Carin xx

I have those days SO often!! This is a great find... quite funny!
A great find and capture Carin. I will upload a picture that a modified using focus as well as radial blur using the Photo Editing Program Photoshop Pro X2.
Chickens do tend to move rather more quickly than at least my lens can capture...as do ducks and geese and especially blue herons! You did well getting the motion of this fleeing fowl!
A little like everyone. Speed falls to us to arrive in time at our forecasts like. But to always hold the head high good a hope emerges. Mile smile a catch exténuante for this pretty cok. He course surely after these Beautiful, lol….

I love this shot! Great feeling of movement. Excellent. :)
I thought it was a picture of you running away from the snake in my post yesterday. ;D LOL! Great capture!
Hehe... I would have run like this chicken... No doubt!!! LOL...
OHH Carin, is there something I love, then it is Chickens. I love them of nostalgic reasone. My aunt had a yard with chickens and I loved to dig up rain worms for them as a little girl. They were acting so funny when they were fighting to get the worm. What a fun I had. That is why I SO love chickens and I love the sound of them too. This is a mighty lovely lady. So Kayla wanted to hug it LOL ! HAHAHA I smile at kbrog :-)
fantastic capture! :)
VERY FINE CHICKEN! GREAT SHOT

Hmm, thought you had your passport ready for some reason ... Nah, just a Kiepie! Well done, Clive
Great shot and wonderful story behind it! thanks for sharing
Excellent motion blur. Great detail on her face.
Interesting lighting effects in this stellar shot of the black and white feathered chicken, fleeing your Kayla, Carin! And, I have a difficult time each day trying to decide which one to pick among the gazillion images in my tons/tonnes of files, all of which I like.
Excellent effect, my Friend! I love the capture of motion here.... such a fleeting chicken :) Superb colours and contrast..... makes you want to run with him ! :)
Beautiful action shot and really like the blurred background. Dana
Lol, too bad I wasn't into photography when I had chickens--I'd have had tons of fotos like these. My son was ALWAYS chasing those poor hens!! GREAT shot!!!
Very nice work.... Aloha
I have those days, almost daily! As for this lovely lady...well...I always love to see chickens run. They're just so...well...chickenish. There are breeds of bipedal dinosaurs, known as "bird hipped" dinosaurs that probably ran in the same way. For some reason I find that hilarious! I mean, c'mon, velocoraptors running like naked chickens?! Ah, but as always, I'm rambling, and I have the image of chickens scuttling around in my mind. Needless to say that's also put a great big grin on my face. I love this shot by the way; it's a beauty. The colors are what really grab me as well as the chicken's expression! Her plumage and comb are wonderful, as is that really intense eye. It would also seem that chickens are smarter than we once thought: the term "bird brain" has been reexamined, scientifically, recently, and it's now known that chickens and other birds have larger, more complex brains that originally thought. I like that. I don't know why. I like this photo too, for many reasons that I CAN name. The quality is excellent...the sense of action is wonderful, and the whole image just brings a big smile to my face, especially as I imagine dinosaurs running like that too. Those predatory velociraptors ran like chickens...only big, mean predatory, pack-hunting chickens. Who'd have thunk it?
Excellent ! *****
outstanding action shot
