Well it is!!! A couple of Curtis Helldivers return from a long scouting mission some where in the Pacific.
The SB2C was not an outstanding success. Designed to replace the Douglas SBD, it wasn't until the -4 model that it began to live up to it's promises.
BeyondVR released a Curtis SB2C some time ago. The Osper Enterprises modifying crew made it into a SB2C-4.
The destroyer is by Osper Enterprises Inc. Done in Wings 3D.

Great job on the Helldivers, Osper! I hate to be the first with a criticism, but I hope it will help you. The landing pattern was down the port side, decending, with a u-turn at the stern, ending not far from the ship. Navy planes were designed to handle quite well at low speed, although the Helldiver had poor pitch control due to its stubby airframe. Great image, nonetheless!

A superb image! Lots of teething troubles with this plane known as "The Beast" and "Son of a Bitch 2nd Class."
Outstanding prop blur...now if I could just remember to slow down my shutter speed and capture that in my photographs! Like the overall render...neat modeling, composition and lighting.

Fantastic scene. That is a BIG ocean. I use to fly an ultralight and we were not permitted to fly far from the coast line over the ocean. Forgot what the actual distance was. It's been 5 years since I stopped flying. I really miss it.
