Description
The Yellow Ladyslipper Orchid is Europe's most impressive wild orchid. Unfortunately it's also quite rare, in Denmark it's only found in two places, in central Jutland. The most well-known of these is a popular place to visit for tourist etc. with botanical interests.
To keep visitors from picking the flowers, the place is surrounded by an ugly lath fence, with only a few cage-like "paths" into the area, so you can get a closer look at the plants.
This is my vision of how the place could look like, without the fence, or in earlier days before the flowers were found by man.
- Not necessarily a "flamboyant" piece here, more an exercise in creating a particular habitat :)
Vue 8.4 Complete render, a few touch-ups with Photoshop. Ladyslipper model from Cornucopia (Lili)
- I'm planning to show a more close-up type render.
Digital airbrush painting of the Yellow Ladyslipper (in the mixed media gallery)

This is gorgeous!!!!!
Great lush scene!
Wonderful work! RS
The true nature you have captured is flamboyant enough for me! What an incredible landscape!
Such a work of art! Brilliant!
What a beautiful piece of art! I have never seen a yellow Lady Slipper, but here in New Hampshire we have pink Lady Slippers. They are not abundant, but near where we go camping there is a large patch of them...and we actually had one growing on the edge of the campsite we were on in May! They are also endangered here.
Impressive landscape.
really nice plant work
It's a wonderful render and one of my favorite plants!
Yes, I prefer your vision for the forest. I hope they will realize your dream some day. This is so absolutely beautiful. The lighting is the crowning touch. Excellent!
