Description
While all male bowerbirds build bowers to attract female mates, the Regent bowerbird stands alone in it's ability not only to create art but to paint it.
They are known to mix a muddy greyish blue or pea green "saliva paint" in their mouths which they use to decorate their bowers. Regents will sometimes use wads of greenish leaves as "paintbrushes" to help spread the substance, representing one of the few known instances of tools used by birds. The male builds an avenue-type bower consisting of two walls of sticks, decorated with shells, seeds, leaves and berries.
Rendered in Poser Pro with no postwork. Models: Fern (rdna), Bower and bird (me, SBRM Australia2)

fantastic creature and excellent render...NICE WORK..!!!
Excellent bird scene - wonderful colors! :o)
You do wonderful work with the birds in the creation of them. Unmatched by any other vendors of the same type. One ofthese days I will own all your birds from DAZ3D, I already have a few dozen. This one above is most Beautiful with the Golden Yellow contrasting against the Black. A True work of God to create such a living thing. Thanks for the storyline of this one, I never knew birds used any type of tool, really amazing to learn. Also, thanks for the comment on my humble latest image, it pales by comparison to this Exquisite Offering!!! 10+ Work!!!
