Hi all - Sorry I haven't been able to visit the galleries lately. I recently got some news that really hit me hard. Earlier this week my mom went for a CAT scan. On Friday the results came back in. She has advanced breast cancer. It's in both breasts, her chest and her lymph nodes. She's 86 years old.
I was in total shock on Friday. Couldn't do anything. My mom went from being a "healthy" active person to being a person with advanced cancer. She has a positive attitude though and is trying to handle this news as best as possible.
She lives a good distance away. I'm going tomorrow to pick her up and bring her back here to stay with us for a while. On the 28th she needs to go back for more testing.
I spent today cleaning the house to get ready for her visit. I haven't had much time to do anything else.
My daughter Trinity twisted my arm to do a Cookie picture. She begged and begged. So here it is. :)
I will try to keep up with comments and do pictures when I can but things have gotten a bit uncertain for me now. Just wanted to let you, my Renderosity friends, know what was going on with me. Big big hugs to you all.

I am also so sorry to hear about your mome That is just too surreal sounding...... If you want a shoulder to cry on I am here for... And you can always tell her about me here on Rendo as well I went from a well kinda active person..........up during the night going strong but then got to sleeping during the day... Hubby calls me Vamp...LOL...just can't seem to get that habit to quit....After the lung cancer...I had radiation........oh god that made me sick.....had my turbans picked out...and everything but didn't lose my hair....and I am still on chemo......once every 3 wks....by the time you get to feeling better it is time to re do it all over again.....already saw my scheduled visit with my bone scan people in Sept:( You hang in there sis...and like I said I am always here if you want to chat They say mine is spreading...........:(( once one day would love to hear something good....someday..But I try to stay up beat and positive about it...and just go on acting out day after day and getting sick of the word CANCER!!! Lori, I've been keeping your Mom and your family in my prayers ever since you shared this sad news with me a while back. Remember you have so many friends here who love you and will be there for you if you need us. Tell Trinity I'm glad she talked you into doing a Cookie pic, it was what we all needed tonight :)
