Description

She slipped out into the night unnoticed and moved along the path listening as the waves softly lapped along the shore line. For these few moments she was at peace as the cool night air drifted over her face. Looking into the blackness of the water she started to pull off one of her shoes, wondering what it would feel like to wade into the water as she had once done when she was little. “Princess,” she stopped and her pulse beat faster. Could it be, no she thought. “Princess,” his voice was soft but deep. She knew that voice but dared not to think he could have gotten past the guards. Carefully she looked around and seeing no one she moved in the direction of the voice. “Here Princess,” His voice was urgent as she moved to the where the old garden entrance was. She stepped under the awning moving carefully not to draw any attention in case someone was watching. As she reached half under the arch strong arms encircled her pulling back against his body. She knew those arms and the feel of his body pressed against her back. “Melan” he whispered against her ear, “I’ve missed you so.” She pressed back against the length of him, “I’ve missed you!” His hands moved over her stomach as he placed a soft kiss on her bare shoulder. “You’ve risked much, if you are found I won’t be able to protect you.” He hugged her tight. “You have no worries this night, for the night is ours if you but say the word.” He breath was warm against her neck but his word sent shivers over her body. “Just say you want this as much as I do.” He whispered in her ear. Pressing her hands over his and turning her head to see him, “I want this as much as you.”
