This species is fairly common here. I see them every year. Of course, they are difficult to miss, lol.
My next image will show a Swallowtail that is not nearly as showy.

I heard from someone in the Galveston area over the weekend that they also spotted one. I haven't caught sight of one here but I live in the city and that might make a difference.
