Description
Just messing around with my new "Steampunk Submarine" model that I bought at Cornucopia3d. I liked the sky in this one very much--has just the mood I wanted. Originally, I tried to have the sub higher in the water, but if I did, the propellers were above the surface. Thought about adding some seagulls in the right hand sky, but never quite got around to it. Like the contrast between the light and clear the the dark and more cluttered parts of the render. Added some lo-poly folk by Ed Baumgarten--originally construction people that I sort of "Navyfied" with a little retexturing. If you look very hard in the closest light bow ports, you'll actually see at least one lo-poly.
What do you think? Do really need to add those gulls?
Thanks always for your visits and comments.
Jeremy

I see lo-poly people I really do! Great scene. Not too many gulls though, they might take a bad tern
awesome model!!! sky worked well too!
Excellent!
Damit Man! Youve done an outstanding job here My hat is off to ya big time for this way beyound excellent work of art Bravo!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe just a few gulls Jeremy but it still looks fantastic as is. I especially like the large wake as it gives the impression this is a huge lumbering beast.
beautiful image and superb render..Bravissimo..!!!
excellent work my friend
Awesome
Beautiful work Jeremy!
:edit: wish there was an edit button sometimes ;) I count about 5 people on the top bow deck, and maybe one inside the cabin below. Really nice work on the render. Your right, it does have that dramatic feel to it with the evening sky. I love the the lighting, the way it casts through the clouds, down to the pinkish hues on the hull and foamy waves.
I like it as it is...maybe just make the foam at the back wake a little more textural...seems a little too solid looking, but otherwise an impressive render.
Looks good, and yes the gulls would help, it is a tradition that they follow for a good while out of port.
Looks VERY impressive, have to say! Good work.. Rob
Very nice image! Great job on the sky. I dunno, adding the gulls might make the picture a little too balanced. I like it the way it is, with the shadow and smoke drawing the eyes to the ship.
Excellent sea scene!
This looks great.
Really cool as always. Love the boat and the mood. Seaguls? maybe - but howabout a small pteradactyl. Keep up your great work my friend.
ממש מרשים! ממני ליאור
Wonderful work! :)
No Jeremy no gulls neaded at all this is fine as it is!
Gulls would definitely add something to it, perhaps wheeling around the stacks perhaps.
wo looks very beautiful
A good mood indeed
I salute you on adding the figures in the file, I always cheat with Bryce and bring the image into Poser to add figures :) First rate angle on vessel and colors in the sky!!!
Must of been gone when this STUNNING render was added to your collection.Just for the record ...the sea-gulls weren't needed(wink)
great scene, model and lighting!
