Description
Gregg Allman, of the notorious Allman Brothers Band, doing a gig last Saturday night in Tunica, Mississippi.
After recently completing the 40th anniversary tour of the Allman Brothers Band, Gregg takes no time off as he assembled his own Gregg Allman Band to do a few dates. Julia and I were lucky enough to see one.
I could take up a whole page just brushing on the accomplishments and talent of this amazing musician, but suffice it to say that if you were growing up in the south during the late 60's and early 70's (and beyond), the Allman Brothers Band played a major part in your musical culture.
Considering how long the Allman Brothers Band has been around, it's extremely rare to say that after 40 years of music the general consensus is the band's best studio album was their most recent one, Hittin' The Note, released in 2003. Not many bands with such longevity can say that. In fact, I know of no other.
This was shot in rather low light, at 1600 ISO, so it's a bit grainy.
