Description
Further to yesterdays post, the next day, the swans took the cygnets to the river for the first time and a most entertaining lunch break was had watching them.
When I went home that evening, they had all returned to the nest and were settled down to rest under Mum's wing - all bar this little fellow, who had poked his head out and was having a good look around.
Eventually, though, tiredness got the better of him. His little eyes closed and he just flopped over sideways, fast asleep.
It was such a cute sight that I just had to record it for posterity.
The picture inset at the top was taken only a few minutes before the main shot.
Enjoy. :-)
