Sorry this is so late in the day, my friend! RR crashed this morning just as I was trying to post, and then I had to work all day. I've been chomping at the bit to get home and get this up for you!

This brings tears to my eyes dear Tara, I love it so much! In the late 60's and early 70's I spent alot of time at the Arboretum, walking, taking in all the beauty it has to offer, feeding the ducks, picnics with friends...a perfect image to take me on a retro journey but one that lends itself to carrying me gently down the stream from all the strife that has been of late. Thank you so much, its just gorgeous, I love the reflections and the current that adds an abstract feel...wish I was there right now...but then I am in my mind. Big hugs to you for taking me home and making my day special with you in it...I am about worn out now so I will answer your email tomorrow. Thank you again my friend, you are one fine lady!
I'm sitting here, looking at this photo, marvelling at how everything in this image draws the eye to the squiggly abstract reflections. The light and dark areas almost form a yin-yang kind of pattern. The splash of green at top center, and the red leaves add a delightful color vibration. This is wonderful, Tara! And Happy Birthday, Lynn!

Those reflection-squiggles are amazing and must be seen to be savored! This whole image has the quality of a fine painting: not one of those schmultz-laden idyllic examples of bucolic plague that pass for "fine art" but as something really alive and fantastic. I love the details in this and the natural elegance you've captured. This is fantastic work and a wonderful dedication!
