Description
"I was lost..." - and distracted, unaware of my surroundings, it was a dreary day, I ended up on some lonesome backstreet in Paris.
That's where I first saw him. Not sure, what, first caught my eye; the Italian cut of his smooth and well tailored suit, or that trilby on his head. Yes, it was that - the hat, that caught my eye. And in that instant, in some actively adrenaline pumped part of my brain, it rushed my thinking for it to say,
"Wow, who is he?"
In that instant, I dropped something and went to look into his eyes; and he, with reflexes I'm thinking, like those of a fly, dipped, neck inclined as he went, and ever so gracefully down, caught hold of his hat, shielding his eyes, his face, perhaps a smile? He went, for my paper; I, feeling embarrassed glanced down to also catch what was falling; I hadn't been sure, I never felt it fall, so how could I know, until I saw it? And him, grabbing it, swinging it back to me, as he walked by. I took it of course, rattling off a quick,
"Thank you!"
But he never broke his step, as if in an ever rolling forward procession, smooth as a breeze, he'd gone by.
I never got to see his eyes...
Or the contours of his face...
Did he smile?
Ah now, this man, that day, backstreet, in Paris... won't ... leave ... my mind. Cause every time I think of him, it makes me smile.
Dedicated to you Magnus073 because you remind me of that mystery man, on that backstreet in Paris. All from my imagination -(fiction)- but I just couldn't offer you a normal pretty picture. Hehehe
