They have a unique sound that is all at once familiar. I suppose it is their retro feel and vibe which kinda reminds you of TEARS FOR FEARS, DURAN DURAN, DEPECHE MODE, AHA, and other synth pop giants--however, they somehow manage to bring with this a haunting, modern quality. Like HIM, this is the kind of band that both layman and musician will love. I personally love the group dynamic, esp the songwriting--they make it look easy but the crafting is fairly complex, especially the progressions, one of which had a few sliding chromatic elements to it. They are a tight unit as well, working effortlessly off one another in a near hive fashion live. You go boys! And Kristofer Dommin's voice is ethereal, sexy, broody and wrought with pathos--in other words the man can sing. At times it almost sounds as if his voice is weeping, if you get my drift. WITHOUT END spoke to me the most and so I felt inspired to create an animation for it. If I had more time I would have really produced it , gone into greater depth gotten into the special effects, etc., etc., but I unfortunately have to get back to work on my SG site. Also--these are period fantasy versions of the guys-- oh well...you'll see what I mean...
