Description
This is a sweet little lovebird named Banana.
Sadly he passed away last winter, but
he was so special to his owners, and
brought them so much joy, they asked me
to do a painting, so his bright spirit
would always be with them.
The love between animals and humans is such a
precious gift.
Credits: Created in Photoshop CS, using lovebird photos, painting techniques, blended with an Organica background. Special thanks to Pat Victorino for sharing photos of Banana.
Hope you enjoy.

You've done a wonderful job creating this tribute to Banana. You are so right about the bond between animals and humans. I know we only have them borrowed for a short time but I couldn't see it any other way!

Very nice. Beautiful picture
What a wonderful way for these people to remember their friend, you have made a very thoughtful dedication here. I love how you have have him peeking out from behind the bushes. Marvellous work.
This is a thoroughly gorgeous image: as always. It's funny, I can't stand the taste of bananas, but I don't mind seeing them or knowing of a bird named after them...it's just their taste I can't stand. Bananas and my body just don't get along. Having said that, I will say that I love this piece of work. You capture animals (and plants) so incredibly well and endow bananas with a quality that even appeals to me...everything in this is quite marvelous.
Very well done: color, composition excellent!
I have a very soft spot for birds and especially lovebirds. Your painting is so gorgeous. It looks like I could reach out my finger and have them come hopping aboard. Wonderful!
