Description
To get this shot, I was as close to the ground as the snake, lol. It was easier than it sounds because the snake was catching some sun at the top of my pond's levee so I eased up the embankment until I could get the pic. The snake is non-poisonous and not likely to bite if it has a way to escape. This one was about 3 foot long and as big around as a fat garden hose.

brave man! When I lived in the Galveston area, any snake I saw near water sent me running. Moccasins every one! I never would have known if the snake was non-toxic or not... :-) Excellent shot with great clarity and your calm movements really paid off.
