Description
Namibia 2010
It is time for some more Namibia uploads as I still have so many images I would love to share with you!
This image was taken at the main entrance to the Spitzkoppe! I just adored the manager's office! Please note that no cement or anything else was used in the construction of this building - it is just the local rocks stacked up! I have a close-up of the curio shop (same construction) that I will place soon!
Thank you for popping in and for your much appreciated support in comments and favs on my two birthday uploads yesterday for Tara and Ulla!
Stay well!
Hugs
Carin xx

Wow, who needs cement :o) I think it is a great office, whats he managing? Glad we are back on your holiday. xxx
He has an impressive office that fits in quite well in the environment! Fun shot.
splendid image! great composition!
Wonderful capture!!!
Always love reading your intros Carin, and as ever your photography is superb, and often quite unique!! Thanks my friend, hugs Jane xx
Another Namibia gem. Sure the builders didn't use superglue? Nicely done.
This is fantastic! What a curious structure. And that "Manager" sign adds to the wonderful off-kilter feel of it all.
You're kidding, right? That's the manager's office, built like a house of cards? Are there no building codes in Namibia? It could come crashing down during even a small earthquake. It's dark inside the structure so I assume it has a roof. In any event, I love the stark lighting and fantastic rock patterns and textures in this brilliant image, Carin.
if I did not know better, I would swear this was in the SW USA.outstanding landscape
Typical manager with a fancy, luxurious office. {;-> He/She does have an awesome view. Fantastic image, classic shot. Could be someplace in the American Southwest.
Very nice shot!!!
I love this! Since it's dim inside, there must be some sort of roof. Your image makes me think, wonder, smile, and enjoy the view. Excellent work!
And the big bad wolf huffed and he puffed but even though there was no cement he couldn't blow the managers house down :)
What a great find and so well captured too!
Amazing!!! Wonderful image.
Such great POV, and photo. Amazing view, Carin! THX for sharing.
Just have to make do with what they have...not may comforts it seems..
I experienced places like this in small Czech towns...buildings that didn't actually have anything substantial holding them together. Their weight is what holds them together!!! I love that. This is totally different and nicely otherworldly. I see that construction and the GORGEOUS landscape, and then see the word "Manager." I wonder if he know how great a job he must have? This is brilliant!
Interesting construction, excellent shot! Don't ya have a closer shot of that office? :D
what a great image, magic and powerful
Wonderful capture, amazing how that construction is done!
Majestic capture of this great piece of architectural workmanship and then there is Mother Nature’s wonderful work in the background. Dana
