Description
Well, I will be later today, that is!! I should have been at the airport as we speak (write/read??), but got a call VERY early this morning telling me my flight had been cancelled. So, there I was, still half asleep, negotiating the airline's voice mail (bad at its best, horrid at 3am!!), getting new flights. I got it all sorted out, went back to bed and now have my coffee. I think I can function now.
Oh, where am I going? Seattle, to see Tara (auntietk), Denise (mrsratbag) and whoever else is lucky enough to cross our paths!!

Sorry to hear your flight had been cancelled. Hope your new flight brings you safe and have fun with the gang.... Beautiful cloud shot. Aloha
Happy flying, Marilyn; we'll be seeing you later this week!
Aww bummer! I'm glad you got another flight! Safe travels and enjoy your visit! The image - absolutely stunning! :)
cool copper tones
This is a stunning capture Marylin and we love the clouds in this. Gorgeous
Such a wonderful colour! Have a safe flight!
Title sounds like a song lyric :) - That Glow does not mean the plane is on fire I hope - but sure does create a lovly tone ! By they way this is a very cool photo also !!!!!!!!
Tara tell me you 2nd flight got cancelled too...what going on? Hope your laptop is making your waiting more bearable:) Like your golden posting winging you on your way! Have fun in Washington.
OMG, orange all the way in this magnificent shot of the portside wing flying above an ocean of rippling cotton candy, Maz! Your flights were being cancelled due to the putrid and destructive ash spewing from the Iceland volcano.
Outstanding shot of an older 737. Gosh, I hate workin' on Guppies. They're so dirty/oily and use a TON of screws (panels on/panels off for "C" check -annual- inspections).
Nice shot of this plane wing and the clouds, interesting colour, well done!!
love the golden lighting
Beautiful capture!
Sounds like fun, even with the flight problems. My job keeps me in the office except just a few weeks each year. But I have hopes mid-July will cut me loose and we can meet up in Ft.Bragg. :-)
wonderful colors have fun warm hugs, Linda
Here I am commenting and waiting for you to arrive! LOL! You ought to be knocking at the door any second now. :) See you in a few!
SUPERB CAPTURE !!
What an image! And the West Coast Ninjas are getting together (are already together as I write this!) I can imagine how fun THAT will be! And wow, what a post to commemorate the start of it. I love the dramatic color, and my favorite place to sit on any plane is near the wing. I don't know why, I think it's the excitement of seeing the flaps and airfoils and stuff flapping and airfoiling and doing whatever else all of those complicated wing-things do. I really like this shot quite a lot.
Outstanding capture Marilyn and enjoy your visit. Looking forward to lots of postings from your trip. Dana
