Description

A bit of a change of pace ... this is from a day out in Seattle. I love sitting with a cup of coffee, watching people do what they do! Hand-held zoom from across the plaza.

Gosh! At first glance I thought she'd come down that 'waterfall' looking thingey on the left. Wasn't it wonderful when we could leave our bikes out all night unlocked and nobody took them?!

LOL at Andrea!!! WOW - what a splendid candid Tara! It sure is huge fun just sitting and watching people go by! I can also do that for hours - as long as the coffee is good! :)

I must have been in buying coffee...this is a fun shot...candid people...sent by just for us with cameras at the ready:) In addition to remembering when you could leave your bike out without locking it to something, I remember when you could ride without $150 worth of helmet, riding gloves, gortex clothing, etc. But that is a good looking outfit!

Well done from that distance and handheld too! this is a common sight here but I'll never get used to those stretch pants they wear...very few people can pull it off. :-)

That's Seattle for sure! Serious bikers here everywhere you go... PJ, those pants are very easy to pull off, you just grab them and pull down! LOL! I know what you mean, though. I wear them for comfort, and woe betide anyone who happens to be behind me looking at my rear. The nice thing about aging is not caring so much what you look like.

I enjoyed the picture and I enjoyed the comments, too. Some of us are definitely not made to wear those pants.

Jumpin Jehoshaphat, that's exactly what I used to do several times a week when I was living in an upstairs apartment in Bellflower, CA, oh so many decades ago. Capital capture of the cyclist, cycle and slippery slope stairs.

WOW! This really has a delicious slice-of-life feel to it. It also reminds me of my days of living a bit farther north in Chicago than I do now. It's something I missed while living in Prague. It also reminds me of the Flann O'Brien's novel The Third Policeman in which it's explained how and why humans and bicycles can often be a part of the same organism. It's a loopy novel, far more complex than one line can describe, but I thought of it as I saw this and found myself wondering just how much of a bicycle is this person? I love it when photos spark stuff like that in the recesses of my wacky little brain.
