I counted the moments
between the ticks
of each minute
and lost the time
I tried to see between the dots
to make the base sublime
I inched along that no-man's land
not knowing not to look
at every bad choice
I'd childishly made
before the right ones took
I grabbed life's reigns
wanting everything fast
when "everything" seemed so slow
but now I see how fast Life's past
and I wish I could say "Whoa"
