Description
Captured 3/25/10, early on an overcast morning, within walking distance of my languid lair.
Much better viewed full size.
They were so pretty I took several pics of these many beauties, which is my modus operandi addiction in situations like this. I know that each one could stand on its own, but because I have several thousand still unposted photos in my files, each demanding equal time, I don't have the patience or desire to show each one separately, so I use the shotgun approach, and let the chips fall where they may.
These were a bear to research, so I'm still confused as to whether they are orchids or iris or both.
Arrivederci, thankx for popping in on this sunny 83-degree Fahrenheit day, and for any and all comments and faves.

Beautiful! These shots are really gorgeous!
Beautiful flowers..wish they stayed in bloom longer...
Oh WOW! This is soooooooooooooo beautiful and incredibly delicate looking!! I really love this one, the shade of a different color really enhances its beauty!
Lovely shots Harry. I want to say orchid, but I am no expert. I have a an orchid in my kitchen that a member here actually sent me as a get well gesture and and on the tag I saw this web site maybe it will help you identify this beauty... Orchid site
I believe what you've got here is an iris, and it's absolutely gorgeous!

Excellent series of shots. I cannot figure out whether they are orchids, irises or lilies. ;c) I have three of these plants around my pond garden. I love them. They last about a day each.
