Description
This heron was perched on a cable that's strung across the waterway at Ballard to keep boats from getting too close to the bits they're supposed to keep away from.
He sat there very patiently, waiting for fish to come by. It's a good living! :)

His balance was easy and yet amazing. Imagine if you or I landed on a wire like he does...if we could hold on we'd still be pinwheeling around and around on that slender cable:) Beautiful composition and detail.
