Description
Whilst bush walking, I noticed this tree that had a strange yellow growth on it. I really didn't know if it was supposed to be there or was it some kind of parasitic fungus thingy!
Please zoom to see it up close.
I'm sure the many plant experts here will know!

It looks like some variety of lichen, but I don't really know for sure.
It's a lichen, we have lot's of that up here in Alberta.
I like the color.
wonderful photo!!
Im no expert, but i like to think i recognise a good picture when i see it.
Beautiful tangle of lichen. Well seen.
Great capture
excellent!!
Got the same stuff up here in the Northwest of the US...but it is a light, dramatic green! Must be lichen or moss of some sort:)
I saw it light green around here. cool looking
Very cool looking photo, not sure that is good for the tree, but makes for a wonderful image!
It probably isn't all that good for the tree, but it's sure a great shot!!
Just WONDERFUL in zoom.. And yellow... Weirdness! Not green! Nature.. Strange thing, huh? Ron
