WOW! What an image. This makes me think of the rather large catarpillar in the movie A Bug's Life whose ambition was to be a butterfly...of course he had to go through a movie-length adventure with ants and other assorted garden-dwelling creatures (including two Russian woodlice! Brilliant!) At the end of the movie, he did develop into a butterfly, only he looked exactly like the overfed catarpillar he originally was, with little, tiny wings. I bring this up, because in the scene after his rather funny metamorphosis, he was too big to support his own weight while flying, so the ants held him up as he declared: "Oh, you look like little ants from way up here!" Well...I thought it was funny. Anyway, now that I've rambled on...on...and on: I'll say that this is a gorgeous image. The light is so intense, but nothing gets washed out. Those little ant-people are a wonderful way of showing just how high up you are, and well...I like this. As for the private garden on the roof, I agree with Andrea, it's not very private if you can look down at it, which just goes to show that privacy must just be a horizontal phenomenon: once you go vertical, forget it! I love that! It sets my mind to thinking in all sorts of bizarre directions. This is great work.
