Description
....when you realize that things are not, in fact, going your way.
(Bug Comic, following , The BFG)
Rain had managed to do a tricky underhand loop onto Camo Guy's ankles. As Camo Guy hit the pavement, Rain stamped on the plasma knife, reducing it to little bits. Then Camo Guy reached into his jacket and pulled out a gun. At least Rain thinks it's a gun--he's never seen one that small before. (He has one himself on the farm, but it's for bugs..and it's bigger).
--------
Now some people may argue that it would have made more sense to throw the rope loop *over* Camo Guy's head, and Rain had thought about it, but he's normally the "heeler" when they round up heifers to chip and vaccinate them (his Uncle Richard is the "Header") so he's more used to aiming for feet, and the rope was shorter than he liked. He also often goes after the heifers on foot, and if you do that and rope a heifer's head, you don't stop the heifer--you go for a ride;)
The trees here are mostly Gill's GillBrook's png trees, at Digital Designs Unlimited, and that is why the truck is hers;)

fantastic job
Ain't it always the way....just when you think you are on top....the worm turns!! Fantastic image, I'm loving the story!! And I've been to enough rodeos to know you are right about roping a heifer!!! ;-)
Camo Guy just doesn't know when to quit! Maybe he's part feline and has extra lives or something. LOL I love the flowers and leaves he drug down with him. Now I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Excellent posing with that rope. That had to have taken a while to do! Great pov and loads of fun stuff to look at. Love those trees - I'll have to go check them out. Really great story.
Awesome! Love the scene all around! Posing is excellent as well are your characters! Well Done!
Excellent
Another fantastic work my friend, you are an expert my dear, impeccable scene!
Fantastic scene, excellent job!
Fantastic chapter, Lynn! You have to give Camo guy credit for being tenacious, if anything. He should cut his losses and run! Excellent scene
cool lokkin image nice work friend!!
This qualifies as an 'oops' moment!
Nice work Lynn. Well whatever works for Rain, but I wouldn't want the gun pointed at me even if it is a pea shooter.
I think these comics of yours are remarkable! The slightest nuance in the turn of the lasso, the camera angle, the absolutely natural poses of the characters. All of that tells the story as much as the words do. Fantastic!
Still not sure what Rain's role is on this or why he cares about Bryan, if in fact he does. Agree with Lori that the rope work is very well done and having worked with rope props myself I know this musta been a royal pain in the butt to do.
Superb action scene! As always I like the story and the attention to details! Excellent!
Doskonała praca. Świetna kolorystyka . Bardzo mi się podoba. Pozdrawiam miło.
Beautiful work.
I hope he does something slick to put the hurt on the camo guy, cause we know from previous chapters that he's the bad egg here! Nice work on this picture!
Very nicely done, your work always stands out!
awesome! hugs
Terrific Image,Remarkable Job 5++
Great scene here Lynn and it seems Camo guy isn't caught off guard so easily
There is a lifetime that passes between the time a man points a gun at you and he pulls the trigger. Blink and its all over.
Well Lynn, you did it again. Your scenes tell such a great story. Excellent posing that darn rope too.
Well you don't bring a rope to a gun fight LOL Fantastic work Lynn
