Description
Little did I know that about 1/2 hour after I took this picture of the ICE (German) and TGV (French) trains standing side by side at Gare de l' Est in Paris I would be on this TGV train to Munich traveling at times 197mph.
On the return trip between Saarbrucken and Paris I would be on an ICE train similar to the one in the picture traveling up to 193mph. It felt like being in an airplane on the ground.
This picture was taken on 22 December 2009.

Sig, Don't know how I've missed all these pics of yours??? I've not been very good on commenting lately. Hit and miss says it all. These trains are really impressive. Wish I was with you. The outside must be a blur at speeds over 190mph. Hope your trip was as great as I suspect it was.
Nice! Can't wait to get back to traveling. Had to take a break, buying a house, a pain in the butt right now, but starting this summer, I'll be back out there once again.
