Description
Found on a split rail fence on Whidbey Island, Washington. Wet, wet, wet...
It almost looks like some wee folks have been planting a garden. :)
These tiny features need a ZOOM to fully appreciate.
Bill:)

Super detail Bill!
The textures really jump out in the full size. This is a wonderful shot, Bill. I can almost feel the texture of the wood. Love those tiny red blooms. Great work!
Yes, that's what a Brit or Aussie would exclaim on seeing this: "look at all the blooming moss and lichen, mate!" Stellar clarity and light/shadow effects really bring the equally spaced horizontal striations to full bore in this superb capture, Bill.
Aren't those amazing? I found some on a tree once. Great detail on this excellent shot, Bill!

What a wonderful eco-system...moss, lichen, little pretty red things, wood textures, and probably little things I can't even see zoomed in. This is amazing and rich in every way.

The little folk ahve been planting and watering well. I see the trunk of a mini elephant hiding behind a clump of lichen and moss! Clive
Amazingly beautiful little shrooms. I am always fascinated by all the kinds of fungi there are in the world.
